As every year, before the LVCC road race (this year on Sunday 26th June), I organise a club run around the circuit to inspect the course so that I can let the Highways Agency know of any repairs etc required.
I propose Sunday 8th May as the day for the recce.
This has always been a really enjoyable club run that starts from our race HQ in Ugley, ride to Radwinter, ride the circuit combined with a lovely lunch (location TBC). The run has always been a fantastic day with brilliant roads, great company and food. Total riding is about 45 miles. Please do join us!
We would meet at the Walthamstow Town hall at 0900 hrs. Then we drive to the race HQ. We'll be riding by 10am latest. We should have you back by about 4pm.
I can take 3 people and their bikes in my car. We can usually get a couple of more cars too. We have never left anyone behind, but do let me know so we can plan cars etc in advance. Alternatively, we could meet you at the race HQ if you want to make your own arrangements.
Let us know and hope you can join us.
The date has changed to the 8th May because of Eastern Counties festival on the 1st.
I'll be there, 9-00am at Town Hall with my car. I can take 2 extra bikes on top, but if you let me know in advance I can take up to 3 more bikes and
Obviously people. IE; 6 people and 6 bikes. Come and enjoy.
Is there likely to be a group out that are not going to this recce? Not sure I could be out as late as 4pm.
Matt: yes, Adam & Chrystyna have both posted on Facebook that they'll be doing a normal one
I'd be keen to come along if there space for me + my bike in one of the cars going?
Hi all. I'm up for a copy of the 10th April runs, where there were two - one was for the 'militant-paced' group and one for those who got dropped ;) Depends what the mood is really but there's either 65 or 50 miles:
